New Meadows
Just Northeast of Lost Valley State Forest is New Meadows. We found a treasured memory from both our pasts. We both spent countless summer days going round and round on one of these. I’m afraid my equilibrium isn’t what it used to be, but it was a blast to go a few rounds! They are renovating this old train station, you can check out the history of The Historic P & IN Railway Depot here.
Having more fun than a couple should be allowed to have!

Little Salmon State Forest
After leaving the Payette NF we headed into the Little Salmon State Forest. US Hwy 95 pretty much just follows the river all the way. It is a beautiful drive, some of the rapids are breath-taking—looking at them from the road. I can’t imagine being in a raft on it!
