Weiser Idaho~Unplanned Stop
Well, short story long, we got a flat. So we went to the local Les Schwab Tire Center, where we had just received such good, fast, efficient service in Burns, OR. We stopped there to get the brakes tested and turn one of the back tires around to show the nice side of the hub. They didn’t charge us for any of that, and they put us into their system so we would be all dialed in if we needed anything else.
The good news is that it was just a leak from the hose used to make it easier to fill one of the duel tires in the rear. The bad news, it took them three hours—they were busy and training a new guy—to find that out and put air in the tire. The sad news is that the leak happened because the last guy, in the Oregon store, didn’t attach the hose correctly and that is why we had a flat. And even sadder, the dealer at the Weiser store knew it was the other technicians fault but charged us $16 anyways. In the end we paid to get the free brake test advertised at all Les Schwab stores.
If we’d known it was going to take 3 hours, instead of the 30-45 minutes that we were told, we would have been better prepared for no internet a little farther up the road. But, our learning curve is improving with each glitch!![]()
UPDATE: Larry asked if I knew anything about the castle. When I was taking the pictures I thought I should see if there was anything about this very groovy castle online. Thanks for the reminder Larry! Here a link to the Knights of Pythias Lodge Hall.
