Libby Montana Boondocking
We try to plan on spending Friday and Saturday camped, so we had pushed through to Libby, cause there is a lot of Forest Service land around, and started searching.
This sure wasn’t the best place we have found on NFS land but we decided to go with a location with internet service this time, therefore close to town, we drove around awhile hoping to find a creek to go with it, since it has gotten hot, but failed. We were maybe 25 yards from Bobtail Creek but it was straight down a steep incline and through thick forest and underbrush, so we just sat there sweating and listening to the water gurgle by. ![]()

so, you werent encouraged to hike down to the creek?
do you have any kind of protection? like a firearm? pistol or shotgun? looks like you park in some lonely areas sometimes.
yya like the distant trains with the wail of the whistle or horns, or is it just the sound on the locomotives/engines?
Yes we have protection, but we only stay if we think it is safe. We have moved on when we have felt like we were not in a good place and we use common sense. But, to be honest we both know we are in the Father’s care. We’ve been pretty close to the tracks sometimes and they don’t bother either of us, maybe cause we travel on the train, the sound is kinda comforting.
