Here we are in the Oregon Outback, at Chickahominy Reservoir, sitting out another storm. It just west of Riley, OR, where US Hwy 395 and US Hwy 20 meet. We got here just before the rain and wind really got busy.Storm

We can see the traffic on the 20, but you cannot hear it. This morning about 6:00 I could hear cows somewhere in the distance lowing for their breakfast.

Our neighbors were serious fishers. It took them a good 30-45 minutes to get all their garb on. They had chest high waders and they had these little pontoon rafts they could sit in and they put flippers on their feet and went all over the lake. They went out before sunset and then again in the late morning…we never saw any fish though.

Leslie the camp host is friendly and this campground is exceptionally clean and free of trash. The fish cleaning station looks state of the art.
