Tuskegee National Forest
Our first National Forest in the South—not too shabby!
I’ve been noticing these beautiful bright bushes for a few days now as we meander through the by-ways of South Carolina & Georgia. When I got up close I could see and hear that it was a-buzz with life. There were too many bees and butterflies in this bush to count. They were all flying so fast i couldn’t get a good picture of them all at once, only when they would stop for a second or two. I got a hand-out at the Tombigbee Ranger Station in Mississippi that had a name for the butterfly–it’s an Eastern Tiger Swallow Tail!
