It was hard to end our visit at with Aunt Joan, Carol & Kevin, but we were anxious to start some serious looking to find a home base, so we headed out. Wouldn’t you know it, it would be just as the Northwest is having a heat-wave! So, we decided to wait out the heat wave during the 4th of July weekend, before we head on up to Idaho.

Deschutes River CampCome to find out the Columbia River Gorge can get very hot. It’s gonna be hard to leave this idyllic spot on God’s green earth!

Not only do we have an unlimited water supply, it just so happens to be the best tasting water we have found in ALL our travels!
