Road Kill and the Pig Out Palace
We spent the night in Henryetta, Oklahoma, 234 miles today. This place was right next door to our motel, the Green Country Inn. Just renovated, very clean and hospitable. The “Palace” had lots of meat and starch. Potatoes, and a variety of rice and pasta. Driving through Arkansas and Oklahoma these last couple of days, I believe we’ve seen more road kill (lots of armadillos) than in my entire prior driving career. I only sampled the Bar-B-Que meat, small chunks, and a pork chop. I didn’t think about the road kill till writing this post, the food was really good and so was the service, and we remarked how piled on they kept the buffet, but it gives one pause…

Hey guys, I’m sooo excited that you’re coming home. Miss you ever so much. But I am more excited that your trip is
safe so far. God is really watching over you. Stay safe and
keep the blogs (is that what these are called?) coming. I
feel like I’m sight seeing with you again. Love you Lots.
Hey guy’s. Im glad your enjoying your trip. I love the picture of the bridge over the Mississippi. I just got your email, congratulation on getting half way! I guess we will see you by the weekend or early next week, because we will be going to Bishop this weekend for a family reunion, so if you happen to get here and wonder where we are at, that’s where we’ll be.
– Love you both, drive safe. Im praying for you. Love Tasha and Travis
