1st Time Walmart Boondocking – Coeur D’Alene, ID
We have learned that large cities obviously make it hard to find public lands to stay the night, and if a large city is a tourist trap you can forget it.
We finally decided to try a Walmart parking lot. Not the best experience, which isn’t surprising, that is why we have avoided the idea. It is real hot sitting out there on the tarmac with no shade. And this one was on a really busy street that was busy till almost 3 in the morning and then they started in again early!

yeah, parking lots are not the best place to park for the night, but they do in a pinch. did security guard come by asking questions?
what is this widget below here: “Select an image……and browse”? whats up with that?
Walmarts are known by RVers as welcoming us, they like the money we spend in their stores, imagine that. The only time you can’t use a Walmart or Sams club to overnight is when the local town outlaws it and other RVers are publishing lists so we know ahead of time.
Got rid of the image upload thing it didn’t work. :(
