Potlatch Camp
Laird Park NFS Campground – Real long day, spent all morning in Lewiston looking for a mechanic, and gave up. Ended up clocking 106 miles, went to Potlatch Ranger station where we were disappointed in the lack of knowledge, according to them there is only developed camping in the area. And that,14 miles one way out of our way.
The campground itself had lots of trees, it is older with small roads, kinda tight but alright. We shared it with big group of teens, Jr Rangers or something, they had a large group tent camp set up and were cleaning/weed whacking the campground for the coming season, they had a great time swimming in the crick at quitten time, you could hear them all over the forest, laughing.

wow! you went all that distance with engine problems? no mechanics at all in Lewiston? hmmm. so you went all the way to Potlatch and beyond knowing you had engine problems, taking a chance of getting stranded deep in a forest? hmmmm. so i assume someone will tell you of a mechanic in Moscow that can do the work? (I know, im stuck on Moscow) it seems like the coolest place, a small town on the road to Life. hmmmmm.
I hope you saw yesterdays posts yeah Moscow.
It seems that when we drive real slow for long periods, like when on dirt forest roads or during road construction, our carburetor gets flooded or something and she runs rough, then after a rest she is OK again, we have a helper!
Randy, where did you leave a comment about being at Ida/Mt border crossing? i dont see it anywhere. you mentioned this in your last email of 7-7-14
I can’t find it either, maybe I wrote it in my head, and never had internet long enough to post it.
Hope to have the posts to Montana by tomorrow!
