Glacier National Park – Apgar Campground
We decided to spend 2 nights in this campground because we thought it would be the best way to do the “Going to the Sun Road” shuttle and it definitely was, we spent 10 hours out on the shuttle and were very glad to have camp all set up when we got back at 7PM. Check in at the campground is a 2PM and it was pretty full on Tuesday at 6PM when we were driving the loops, if we hadn’t have found a handicap space we would have had to just settle for something, as it was our 
spot C-151 was pretty nice. We really have decided that the campgrounds are just too tightly packed for us to want to stay in them very much. But they are better than most RV parks, which seem like Walmart parking lots to us, most times.
We drove through some touristy towns on the way here, Kalispell is really a pretty good size city, that we needed to do some errands in, from there we went through Columbia Falls and Hungry Horse and of course West Glacier.
LOTS of smoke, from inexperienced campers, we figure, and lots of rodents.

Hey! Smoke gets in yer eyes? really? do the campers cook over their campfires, or are they needed to keep warm? or is it just to stare into the flames and be blinded to the dark? if there is a lot of smoke, maybe they are using green wood, that isnt dry yet.
did you take lots of photos of Glacier Park? that sound fun. but on a 10 hr shuttle? you must have been beat when you returned home that night.
I don’t think they cook over them, maybe marshmallows. And they certainly don’t need it to keep warm. It seems to me none of the campers know how to make a fire, they ALL smoke! I could just be sensitive to it now, some sort of allergy.
Yeah we got lots of pics of Glacier, it was hard to stop taking pictures it was just so awesomely gorgeous. We weren’t on the shuttle the whole time, we got off a few times, and once to hike to St. Mary Falls, which took about 2 hours. And we did sleep good and hard that night! ;)
