We moved here 15 years ago,
This is the first address that we have ever had so long,
This is the longest we have ever had the same phone number.

The day we moved here we picked up our new travel trailer, to live in, the people that we bought it from told us about a puppy.

Old Dan counted on his Aunt Sadie to show him the ropes.

Brian saved up to get his dog the best collar in the store.

Old Dan’s first road trip, was his first trip to Oregon, to meet Grandma Doris, Uncle Bill and his older cousins Bud and Spike.

Dan loved all 112 cats that we have had, Obie was a city cat and the first cat he met, we aren’t so sure that Obie liked Dan much.

Keri got Sheeba, at first they acted like brother and sister.

Old Dan meet’s Aunt Lynne for the first time, everyones favorite Aunt.

Dan loved babies, this is his first, Him and Daisy were both just a few months old when they met.

The whole family was exited the day we got water, Sadie is playing the old Aunt for the camera.

It was a very hot summer, Dan found out how much he loved water that day, He loved to go swimming at the lake.

He was usually pretty good about posing for pictures, he got a little tired of it in his later years.

Whenever there was work to be done Dan was right there, he was also quite the butt sniffer.

When the work was done for the day he doubled as a bed warmer.

Old Dan knew how to hunt, the first time he and Dad went out, he was flushing quail like a pro. (Sadie is still into hunting for lizards.)

Nothing like a good mud bath to cool of after laying brick.

Dan loved kittens, he would pick them up, not by the scuff of the neck, but put their whole body in his mouth and carry them off to the grass to play and be licked. (pictured Little Ann)

Dan always felt that it was his duty to guard the bowl while Sadie ate.

When Dan was 5 years old Brian moved into an apartment, he came home to wish us all a Merry Christmas.

Of all our cats “Button” stayed around the longest, even our bird loved Button.

We taught Dan to stand at “attention” for Brians’s return from Airbourne School, Brian gave the command with a little more authority though.

In 2004 Dan travels to Nevada for the big family reunion to see all his old friends, him and Daisy are the oldest.

Old Dan went to the groomer to get ready for Chistmas 2004.

Dan always loved to “go for a ride” he didn’t have any idea what we meant when we took off for a road trip to Florida, a few months later we were off again, back to Oregon with a side trip to Reno & Las Vegas, He has seen more states than alot of plane travelers twice his age (2 times 100?)

Boy the way cats come and go aroud here, this is Sam and Arwin, 2 months ago, and 2 batches of cats ago.

Dan is resting next to his best friend Sadie, and his cousins Bud and Spike, the Birds, Newt and Bird and Willie, His first cat friend Obie and Travis’ lizard.

Every day for the past 15 years Old Dan has raced to greet me when I come home from work, purring with a huge grin.
We have never lived here without him.
We will never have a pet for this long again in our lives.
