Here it is October already! Do you remember all the fun flavored wax stuff for Halloween? Like wax lips, mustaches, fingernails, little skeletons with some sort of fluid you could drink (what were we thinking, or not) etc…. Those were great! I don’t remember if I swallowed any of it (on purpose anyway) but I do remember chewing it for hours.

I was always sick, usually with tonsillitis, for Halloween and my birthday, they are only 3 days apart. I would always dress up though, even if I wasn’t allowed to go out trick-or-treating. My parents usually always dressed up too. One year my father shaved his head, put sponge pieces in his mouth, wrapped towels around his waist and put on a black suit. He then went to their favorite local bar, ‘The Dip’, where they were having a costume party, and sat down at the end of the bar. The owner thought he was ATF or what ever it was back then. After an hour of being served drinks and much whispering at the other end of the bar (where the party was) he finally had to let them know who he was.

How about candy cigarettes. I remember my brother would roll them up in his t-shirt sleeve, like a JD (juvenile delinquent). My favorite candy is still candy corn.
