Steeler Country
Beer Barrel Pub
This is just one of the many pubs, bars, lounges, etc. that are literally scattered throughout every neighborhood, we are driving through, here in the suburbs of Pittsburgh, PA.
It’s usually just part of a house, or was a house and has been converted into a public house. This one looks like there is a residence above the pub. This is on Interboro Avenue in Munhall. It’s a quaint little neighborhood, just down the street and around the corner of where my grandparents, Pappy & Nanny lived in the ’20’s, when they were first married.
The Black and the Gold
There are signs like this everywhere you go. We just noticed the other day that the Steelers, the Pirates and the Penguins, all have the same team colors.
Every store sells team gear. It’s on cars, in the yards, on billboards, store windows, restaurant windows, at the libraries, on the side of buses, I mean it’s EVERYWHERE!

Having clicked on the pic, i see thats Randy’s Beer Barrel Pub. vera intrestin’
and about the colors, no one has the right to root for any opposing team? ya live in pittsburg so ya go with the colors! GO TEAM!!
Larry, I have wanted to take pictures of all the ways the “#1 Fans” show their team spirit, but I would have to stop every few feet as I drove down the street! My dad was a Steelers fan for sure, but I think he was conflicted with the Detroit Lions too, he was about 8 when his family moved from here in Homestead, PA to Detroit, MI.
