So, did you make a list of “resolutions”? I usually don’t. Not anymore. I did when I was younger, but I certainly don’t need the added guilt of not keeping my word to myself. I have decided to read through the Bible again though. I found a cool program that I can just click on from my blog site; it’s in the “Daily Devotions” section on my site. It’s at Crosswalk.com, one of the sites I like to use for looking up info and doing research. I read the devotion for today ending the year. Revelation 21 & 22. When I read 21:1 it just really blows me away. I mean no sea! Earlier in the book, it talks about all the mountains are destroyed and all the islands will disappear. When I look at those things in creation now, I’m filled with so much awe. They are so beautiful and so awesome now, I just can’t imagine something better…so when I think of God destroying the splendor of the world and replacing it with a “new heaven and a new earth” that will be even more awesome and beautiful, “and He will wipe away every tear from our eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain…”, I sometimes just can’t wait, “and let the one who hears say, Come.”
