Kootenai River Access–Bonners Ferry, Id
Another day didn’t go as planned, no thunderstorms for a change though. Spent the day in Bonners Ferry shopping and planned to exchange our starter solenoid at Napa but had to wait for them to order it. We considered spending the night in the Kootenai River Casino parking lot next to 2 train tracks, it sure didn’t look inviting but when we went to the fairgrounds to dump and get water we saw a river frontage road out to the wildlife refuge and headed out into the farmlands, a few miles out was one of Idaho Fish & Games’ river accesses with picnic tables and vault toilet, nice as you please.

nice song. how do you choose yer songs? its a good selection. and how are ya getting around with a defective starter? are you depending on GPS scanner maps to get around or google maps? or paper maps?
We do have varied taste in music, can you tell we don’t listen to the radio much? No method, just happenstance.
Maps, you think I got maps? LOL I got a program for the PC that works without internet “DeLorme Topo USA 7.0 National Edition” When we have internet, I have google, and I download mapsbeen talkin about your AAA maps, were those ones I left? Cause Lynne got me AAA maps of our whole route right before we left, and so I gave you the older ones I had had, so I got those AAA maps, I had emailed Idaho and Montana for their tourist packages before we left so they mailed me their official state maps, we stop at ranger offices for forest maps, we stop at visitors centers for maps and brochures, the brochures have maps but you really need to double check those they tend to be vague …..
I wonder why the Minoow struggles up hills :D
do you get some of yer music from Dr. Demento? i like the Buddy Hackett one.
my AAA map is a large paperback book like a trucker’s atlas. 12″ by 18″. so each state map is like 18 by 24 with a lot of nomenclature on em. so you have a few maps, eh. i love maps. a lot of Louis L’Amour books have maps and i always refer back and forth to them and look at my atlas also. Tony Hillerman also refers to a lot of maps and locations in his stories. i love looking at my maps to see if the story lines up with reality (and they mostly do). so yeah, the Minnow struggles cause ya carry a lot of trees/weight. where do ya keep em all?
I am real glad you are enjoying the music, HaHA Dr. Dimento, is he still on? I wonder if you are one of the few who can enjoy our (us and the Doctors) eclectic tastes.
Hey, I had been thinkin of a FB Godstuff “group” a Christian “song a day” what do you think?
All the maps are in a huge pile on the couch!!! :}
a “song-a-day” sounds good. share it to FB and people will go there to listen.
i did not get any emails for these new comments, Rans. i did get an email for new post “Camping at Libby.”
