Escrow closed July 7th

It’s back-to-school time. I don’t know about you but I really hated it when the teacher asked that question!

We finally found the piece of Idaho we all wanted! Falls Creek runs through it and with the help of a water pump there is big pond/swimming hole with the water from the creek, pumped over to a playwaterfall to fill the pond. We’ve seen some small trout and been told there’s fish for fishing, but we’ve been too busy building a house for me and Randy, plus Brian & Cynthia have also been getting some remodeling done on the house that is already here. It’s been a whirlwind of activity on the property.

July 11-14 Getting Internet

They said getting internet would be a cinch!

July 18-22 Footings and Stub-walls

July 24 The grass is always greener over…

septic-supervisor-saraSara watching the septic tank being lowered into the hole. She and I gasped when the chain holding the top portion of the tank snapped a fell into the hole with the guy guiding it into place. No harm, but that was close!

August 1 – 8 Floor Joists, sub-floor and walls

August 17-20 The Fair!

We all took a break from the building and re-modeling to go to the fair. I volunteered to help out in the flower and plant department. It was so cool, one lady had nearly 50 entries! She took quite a few blue ribbons home. I learned a lot and met many people. I can’t believe I didn’t take any pictures, it was hectic, but I should’ve gotten some pics! Here’s a link to the 2015 Fair we just love the small town feeling.
