Happy 80th Birthday Pat
We all actually kept it a surprise to the end!
Daisy & Darcy got Grandma Pat out of her house by 10:15 a.m. Their story was, they needed her to go to the mall to have a picture of the three of them taken to give to Lynne for Mother’s Day. As soon as they left, Lynne called Randy & I, to let us know that the coast was clear (her and John were lurking around the corner, and we were just down the street) and we all met at Pat’s to decorate and set up for the party. There were lots of helping hands, decorating, getting all the food out, bringing chairs and BBQ’s, blowing up balloons when the tank ran out, and just getting it all together before Pat and the girls came back. We made it just in time, and the rest of the day was just wonderful! There were so many friends, old and new and family, old and young. Thanks to all of you that were able to come, even though weather threatened to storm and ruin the day. Even though it was cold and kept the party inside, which we hadn’t planned for, everyone had a great time visiting and catching up on old times. It was a great day for a great lady!
And the picture of Pat, Daisy & Darcy, for Lynne, was just another bit of beautiful icing on the cake!
Since we were busy with preparations and all, I completely forgot to get more group shots and/or very many pictures at all. It would be great to have anyone that took pictures at the party to add them to the gallery below. Also, if you have a story from the party or from knowing Pat, please feel free to add your comments below, or you can email stories/pictures/comments to me and I’ll put them into the post.

you guys got some good pics of people. I will try and get prints of the pics that Katie took and make copies of the
ones on my camera. It did turn out a really good day. We
all seemed to work together. Love you. XOXO
 Hey! Don’t leave me out of this; I got some good pics also. I’ll get some copies in the mail when I get some copeis made. That was a perfect, wonderful soiree you guys put together. Think of it: “I left my house in the morning with nothing out of place, and arrived home with a full blasting party going on, with balloons and streamers all over the place. Dozens of people, all family and friends. SURPRISE!!!!! Shock! Glorious Happiness! Weeping with Joy! Everybody was there, that could get there, even Barbara! WOW!! Local friends, local family and distant family. All gathered together in one big bunch. Before sunset the house was all cleaned up of: food, dessert/cake, drinks, decorations, trash, and people. Everyone gone home, everything back to normal. Was it a dream? Did I imagine it all? Nooooo…… Think of all the memories, the fun, the laughter (the wrapped-up hotdog), the Love from all/and of all. The opening of presents, the good food prepared by Lynne and Leilani, visiting with children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren all grown up. No babies. No tension. JOY!!!”
Patty and I had a good time visiting with everyone, including You-Know-Who.
