I spent hours the other day trying to find a widget to put random images on my sidebar. I wanted them to be drawn from gallery 1. But I was willing to settle.

My quest evolved into, how to convert a sidebar plugin to a widget, when I found randomimages by justincwatt. Since he included the PHP code to call the plugin, I thought I should be able to handle it. I gave up after a few hours, and after repairing my theme, that I had trashed.

Today I found my favorite widget maker, King, has made it easy, with King Text

Basically it lets you put PHP code into your text widget, voila .

The only reason for this post, is maybe someone else will google for 4 hours, and find it. Hopefully they will think to put “Wigetizeing” in the seach box.

Maybe I am a bigger idiot than most, But I’m a happy idiot.
