A Daily Word with Larry is now an RSS feed on this site. It is still accessible in the same spot (left side bar under ‘About Us’. But now when you click on Larry’s Daily Word you will be taken to:

Larry’s new blog! http://www.larrysdailyword.ablurk.com

This is really cool for us. Larry’s blog is the first blog/website that we have helped to get started, in our new Ablurk.com site.

This is how we have decided to use the latest ‘Bush stimulus package’. We’re using our hard earned tax money rebate to start an American based small business.

Our Ablurk.com website will offer free personal web-sites, and not only blogs like Larry’s, but also photo gallery sites, family tree/genealogy sites, etc….? Open to suggestions, any ideas?

Breakfast with Fred

January 17th, 2008 LeiLei Posted in Family Events, Politics No Comments »

We woke to rain this morning and an email from our friend Fred, inviting us down to breakfast at the Sunset Grill. No not the one in Hollywood, the one in West Columbia, SC

It was my first presidential primary meet and greet, to hear a candidate speak. It wasn’t really a stump speech, come to find out it was a radio interview with Andrew Gobeil, a guy from the local PBS station. It should be on TV too, tonight in SC at 7:30PM. I guess we will be watching and hoping the camera pans the crowd.

I was engaged in a conversation with a friendly young woman, come to find out she was a reporter for The State newspaper here in Columbia, her photographer took several very close up pictures of me, none of which will be very flattering, I’m afraid. Not even as lovely  as this one here.

I went there undecided between Fred and Mitt. We really enjoyed listening to him, there was lots of joking, about Law & Order, the media, Bill Clinton, Tipper Gore, us Seniors, the children photographers, of course Huckabee. But, seriously, with all my research he seems to be the most conservative (Less government) & strong on national defense. So I have decided that he is the one!

Election 2006…..at least black is slimming

November 7th, 2006 LeiLei Posted in A Cup of Inspiration, Politics No Comments »

As I contemplate the outcome of the mid-term election, I wonder, am I so different than most of the country? I’m not just a little concerned about what this means for our fight against terrorism and how it will affect our troops overseas. Read the rest of this entry »
