So…I’ve decided to start adding all the “stuff” I’m doing on Facebook to my GrammaLei site so it will be preserved for the future. I’m gonna go back in time if I can and post the past too.

Last Saturday I attended my first Titanic Party. It’s something Daisy and Allison do every year. They were gracious enough to invite me to join in their fun. It was Lynne’s idea to make it a Tea Party, and have everyone bring something to eat. She made the tea, served in Grandma Daisy’s silver tea service. She also made finger sandwiches; egg salad, tuna salad and PB&J. The girls made all kinds of food to complete out the 12 course meal. There was a pasta dish, cornbread casserole, a combination shredded meat, spicy rice and beans with corn chips appetizer, LaRancho Oak Hills Burritos , and I made chocolate chip and cranberry scones. It was a wonderful way to spend the afternoon! And of course a great excuse to watch the 1997 version of the Titanic!

God said, “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14

The only problem with lilacs is that they only last a very short time…but boy while they’re here they sure give us a beautiful show!

This little movie doesn’t quite capture the blizzard we’re having. Weather.com calls it blowing snow, not sure why, maybe because Southern California isn’t supposed to have blizzards. So here we are snowed in again. Good thing we like staying home.
