This is me as a middle eastern girl. I really liked the idea (putting on make-up) until my mother used her dark brown eyebrow pencil and gave me some Groucho Marks eyebrows. I was sick with tonsillitis of course and could only hand out the candy.
This is my brother George. I can’t remember him ever being anything else but a bum. Of course I was fairly self centered as a child, and I never really got to go out trick-or-treating with the neighborhood gang.
This was the first time dad used this costume. Mom was a Geisha. The kimono was really beautiful, dad got it on one of his flights to Japan in the 50’s. I remember at the time her face seeming very white, but next to dad’s it looks almost normal.
