Rock Hounding

This Mesa we found on Public land sure has a variety of rocks! We can’t tell for sure, but it looks like someone came in here and made flat spots for you to park on. A lot of the rocks look like they are from some volcanic eruption. I’m hoping to find out when we go into town next week.

We went for a hike this morning, I found so many rocks…but I only took a few to send to the grand-daughters.

dontcha know you are on an indian res? according to my Thomas Bros Guide map of CA, Earl sits in the middle of the Colorado River Indian Reservation. looking at the pic of the rocks, and the comment of the lava flows, this tells me that the lava brought up out of the bowels of the earth many kinds of rock that is scattered throughout the Earth’s Mantle. i love pretty rocks. will you save an especially pretty one for me that you could bring to me when ya’ll come to visit?
