Earp

We decided on going East out the 62 in search of warmer and dryer weather. Since we really enjoyed Tombstone we thought why not try Earp.

A short 190 miles later and Ahhhhh! It’s beautiful here!

Earp seemed to be pretty much a bust, so far it looks like the whole town is just the Oasis Mini Mart and a Post Office. They do have a life size talking Wyatt in a box, as soon as you get near it he starts talking to you. For a more intense conversation you need to insert coins. We’re going exploring next week so see if there is any more to the town.

thanks for the pic and info. when i googled Earl CA, all that came up was PA, TX, ALA, etc. nothing for CA. i did find 62 on my Thomas Bros Guide map which showed me 62 coming out of 29 Palms. when i lived in Lucerne Valley, i explored all over that area–29 Palms, Joshua Tree, Morongo Valley, even Palm Springs. ya gotta love the desert to see the beauty there;.

  4. EarP !! as in Wyatt
