Where are we Now? Having Lunch!
Mixed up some delicious tuna salad. It was cloudy all day, and while we’re driving there is a wonderful cool breeze, but as soon as we stop, it’s hot and muggy. Lots-O-flies. But the community has put aside a nice little roadside grassy area with picnic tables. I’ll post the rest of the photos with the dedication plaque as soon as someone guesses where we are.
Here are the rest of the photos I promised
And the Winners Are…
Cynthia & then Brian! They got the exact spot where we were! Thanks for playing kiddos!

You’re in Tama, Iowa already!!!
Coordinates 41°57′50″N 92°33′44″W
Brian-That was the exact coordinate for where we were standing! What did you use to do that with? Dad has his gizmo, and it kinda freaks me out when he shows me how many satellites are looking at us, but I try not to think about it. ;/
Cyn-Yeah, we’ve been driving right along. Had a few set-backs and just didn’t try to keep up with the postings. I have several postings/map spots, about ready to post too, to fill in the huge gap on our map, between Montana and Iowa!
I utilized my superior tracking skills, honed in the infantry……Or I googled it. I cannot remember. Its also feasible that I slipped a GPS tracking device in dads phone :)
GPS wasn’t even invented when my phone was made!
OK now i see by a close-up on your pin-map and my AAA Atlas, that Tama is a town. next you will be in Illinois “the Lincoln State.” (when you get there, whenever that will be). im happy you posted this to really catch us up to your RNL (Right Now Location).
Thanks Larry, you are right we hit Illinois today, just now–6PM CT–stopped for the night. I’m gonna work on getting something up!:)
So Larry, you had asked if we were taking big highways now, I guess the Lincoln Highway is a big highway, big enough for us, still no interstates, never, we have tracked every minute that we have spent on them so far, and it ain’t many!
