South Glacier Park – Flathead River Camp
Paola Access near Essex Montana
Our last stop before going to the south side of the park was to spend the morning going through the Apgar Village shops in Glacier Park, I guess the village has been there since before the land was made into a national park. But shopping had to wait until after the dang starter solenoid went out again while we were dumping! Arrggh!
Spent the afternoon searching the Flathead National Forest on the south side of the US 2 for a good place to hole up for a few days, but had no luck, so we decided to just spend the night in a NFS river access. Cool and shady BUT lots of bugs, FLIES and mosquitoes. The beach is very rocky but busy with rafters and kayakers puttin in and takin out all evening and all morning.

“Wake up, lil Suzie! what’ll we tell yer Ma, what’ll we tell yer Pa?”
wow, ya gotta get that starter solenoid fixed. ya must have sumthin shorting it out, or sumthin. look at me, tellin an electrician how to fix an electrical/mechanical problem. haha.
so i guess a lot of bugs near a river or lake is ten times better than a Walmart parking lot.
Randy’s gotten pretty good and fast at changin the darned thing…I do hope this last one is the LAST one!
